Default thoughts on vinyl wraps?

so my buddy told me i should wrap my roof in carbon fiber vinyl. i dont know what it would look like, but what do u guys think??? he said his friend is really good at wrapping cars, and would hook me up cheap. should i do it??? if im a do a wrap i think i might as well do the whole car and not carbon

vinyl can look good but frankly carbon fiber will look pretty pointless on a 2-ton tank like the LS. Frankly I can't stand fake carbon fiber, the irony gets to me too much.

I've seen it -.- there was a local guy here did that to his 2ls....it's just not the type of car to do that on. He did his roof and hood. IMO i didn't really dig it but to each of his own. He also claimed real carbon fiber in his for sale ads....we all know it wasn't

was that the blue one on craigslist? lol i think i saw that one when i was looking to buy an ls

ls has such massive body panels i think getting wrap in carbon of matte color just looks plain weird

I have carbon fiber wrap on my rx7 it looks good but it doesnt really last. I had it for about 2 years and its starting to fade. But then again i park outside in the hot sun.

Heres a better picture when i 1st did it. there's a couple of bubbles but i did it myself. Im sure there are better grades of vinyl but i got mines on ebay for dirt cheap.

Yea that's what I was thinking carbon would look tacky as hell.

Where are you in VA btw?

Back to topic, it just doesn't look right on the ls unless someone does the whole car then idk how it looks then but just a few panels doesn't look good at all.

im in fairfax


but yeah the problem with the wrap is the roof the ls has no definitive cut off like other cars have (ie rain gutters). so that just adds on to how tacky it'd look because it'll be hard to find a nice cut off on the roof where the vinyl would stop.
