Default 1991 Celsior, my new baby.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hey and introduce myself.

I just picked up a nice 1991 Celsior from a local dealer here in Vancouver, turned out to be a great buy and an amazing find. She only has 20,000km and it shows. She has been sitting for a while but still runs like a top, im working on replacing everything filter and fluid wise as i can in these next few weeks. Ive taken her out on a few rides and wow such an amazing car! She'll be insured for good after the weekend .

Heres a few quick shots:

After a nice clay bar and wax

Clean engine bay

Awesome JDM navi system ( obviously doesnt work but it sure looks cool )

Air suspension , and no the bags dont leak

And this... is my favorite one

I hope to learn alot from this forum and its members, and i'd also love to contribute in any way i can Im learning very quickly that these are amazing cars, the thing has more options that a loaded civic we sell at my dealership it just blows me away the technology put into these tihngs! and in 91 ! Wow.

Well, thanks for reading my post and ill see ya around

Wow. That is rare animal. 20,000km! Is that like 12,000 miles or so? Like the color combo.

Yes they are cloth seats, and it doesnt have a sun roof. Its a B spec which means it had the option of having leather seats and a sunroof but obviously the customer who bought this declined those options . The cloth is mint and i actually like it better than leather especially in the summer! i dont think the leather would have aged as well.

And bag wise... Im worried about them failing so there will be no dumping for me , but i do have a full aftermarket bag system in the works for this girl. Just waiting on a settlement to come through , then she will get a nice facelift . For now she stays stock

Wow! 12,000 miles on a 91 is almost unbelievable! Mind if I ask how much she cost you?

I was wondering as well.

Also anyone know how the value of a celsior compares to the value of an equal ls400?

The shift selector and steering wheel look like a 12,000 mile example with none of the usual wear. Looks like some one has swopped out the fender pole for a stubby.
Even looks like the radio LCD is still OK.
Never seen a retrofit Toyota Sat Nav.
I thought my 94 Celsior was low mileage at 38,000 when I bought it 6 years ago.
Good find for sure.

Mine just after I bought it.

Thats just the emergency shift release so when the car is not on you can shift out of park

Oh, and i forgot. The bumper pole actually has a distance sensor in the base of it, which beeps faster and faster the closer you get to an object . Kind of like a parking sensor , a sweet little bonus. I beleive it is JDM as i found it in the back of my manual as a 30,000 Yen additional option .

And i had one question, my celsior is a "UCF-11 " frame ? not a 10, and i was wondering if the rear wheel bearings on my Celsior would be the same as an ls400 ? Im going to have to get the rear passenger side done soon and i was worried about parts being transerrable over from car to car .

thanks!
