Default LED swap for UCF20 cluster? I've been looking

Anyone have a write up for LED's into a UCF20 cluster?

I can't find one, been searching!

like to know as well but from what I read it a CCFL so going led isn't really possible

yeah, all LS400s had CCFL backlighting for the cluster. theoreticallyt you could use a gel film to tint the light but you wouldn't get near the actual color or light output you would want.

theoretically you could however try to get a neon sign shop to give it a whack....

I've seen writeups on people using LED's in UCF10 clusters, so if they use the same CCFL backlighting, couldn't I just follow one of those write ups as far as the LED install?

you could try but the voltage and current ratings for the 2x will probably be different.

I would be worried about bright spots as LED strips aren't nearly as uniform in output as CCFLs.

i would love to get some led behind my gauge i wish my gauge face light up more white and brighter.
