Default '99 LS400 with Solar Guard HP Charcoal 43%

Just got my 99 tinted today. I was wanting something LIGHT and classy. IMO, the Solar Guard HP Charcoal 43% is a touch darker than I wanted. But the next one up (50%) wouldn't have been that much lighter. I think I can live with it though, got all of the windows done the same %. Starting to warm up in San Diego, this will help for sure. Getting my AC charged this week, blowing warm.
Should be GTG by weeks end.

Big fan of silver cars with chrome wheels!

Nice looking LS --- and I think the tint looks just right. Not too dark, not too light.

Looks nice. I like the lighter tints and had the film I chose been offered in a 40-45% I'd have gone that way. There was a 50% at the time but I thought it was too light and the filtering properties a bit weak.

The look I was going for was the "barely tinted, doesn't really look tinted" look. Obviously they are darker than I was hoping for but perhaps in direct light they will be more translucent. I haven't had a good look at them yet because all I wanted to do was get my 15 month old home after waiting 3 hours for the tint. There really wasn't that much of a difference between the 43% and 50% or at least I couldn't really tell. The windows on the LS are quite reflective on their own.

running the same tint here, and i agree i wanted it to be lighter but it's doing an adequate job so far. this will be my first summer in socal with this tint. your car looks better now, and i'm sure your newborn will appreciate the extra protection and comfort (after fixing your ac as well).

Got my AC charged today. It was blowing cool, not cold. Had the system checked and it had .5# of Freon when it holds 1.5#. Filled it up and now it blows nice and cold...so nice.

I really don't think gettin 50% would have made a noticeable difference. In my mind, I see now that the look I was going for was more 70% probably. Don't get me wrong, 43% looks quite nice and classy. Not blacked out at all, which I can't stand by the way. It's like riding in a cave. lol.
