Default Tires with the most wett grip for stock rims?

Hate the tires currently on the car(came with em) because the just have no grip dry and are useless wett. I'm a bit **** about having real grippy tires because I have a 2 year old son and because I drive spirited sometimes in the twisty hills bye my house.
I really really don't care at all about noise or tread wear, just oodles of grip. I like toyo proxes but only used them on light fwd cars and they don't come in my size anyway.(205 65 r15)
Some of the tires I'm looking into are:
-General Altimax HP
- Pirelli P4
- Kumho Ecsta LX (KU27) or ASX
- Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position
- Goodyear Eagle GT
- Toyo Versado LX II
- Yokohama Avid ENvigor

I will be running dedicated snow tires in winter so that's not an issue. Any experience you may have had with a performance tire on the LS would be greatly
apreciated. I've already read every review I can find on the web for each tire on the list but as expected the reviews are all over the map and you never know if the reviewer works for the manafacturer.
I think the size is my biggest limiting factor but I'm not interested in buying rims right now and I may get a set of free 98 LS rims in a few months anyway. I'm not going to waste the summer waiting on em though.

Thanks all!

They don't make em in my size. They look alot like the Firestone fr380 tires on my grand marquis ( mine aren't low rolling resistance tho). They have good traction and are very predictable

Again not made in my size. Don't want to lower the profile or change diameter.

Sorry didn't even look at your size, did you try a +1 size?
I use to work at a tire chain and know The Pirelli and yoko's wear fast, the others are just loud, so your best are the potenza's

Someone else suggested looking into 225 60 15's I think but there was even less avail in that size.

I'm guessing you didn't like the yoko's PD? Or just think the Azeni's are better?

i was joking earlier, nobody seemed to pick up on the fact i recommended dry weather semi-race tires...

the yokos are a solid performer.

I've got Yokohama Avid Touring S tires on stock wheels in the winter, and they're a great tire from my experience.

I love the Michelin Primacy MXV4. Costco has them on sale now - $70 off a set of four.

I have the MXV4 and i like them too. Not really a performance tire. I would say Goodyear GT v rated or the Pilot Exalto A/S.

Still haven't replaced the tires but I would like to re-state how much I have these "starfire" tires.
They almost make the car downright undriveable in heavy rain. Spun out and slid slightly sideways at 3 lights and slid through a turn after a stop( all times very very mild throttle). I can control the skid and the trac kicks in quick but I'm not looking to drift everywhere every time it rains lol. The Firestone tires on my grand marquis are like glue compared to these and they weren't expensive(that car defines "beater").

that is all, sorry for the rant.

I finally got to drive thru some good rain today with my Michelins. I give them a A+.
