Default Rear Seat Arm Rest Question

What are the odds a rear center arm rest from a 95 will bolt in and fit a 92?

Only asking because a 95 has cup holders and early ones do not.

Thanks.

Okay how about this. Anyone willing to take good measurements of there rear seat center arm rest from a 95 or 96 whichever has a cup holder. And post them here and maybe a good photo of it and how it bolts on. Hope someone can help.

Thanks in advance.

It's been nine years since I sold the 1990 LS that used to by parked in the garage by my 2000 LS but my memory is that the rear armrests in the two cars were of a very different size and proportion. I think the rear seat and armrest in the 95-00 LS are all essentially the same except for the center headrest in the 98-00.

You could buy one of those cupholder thingies that sit on the transmission hump or fab one like other have done.

Thank you Sir.

It seems very close my guess we are talking a inch or so. The brackets look the same all the other info i could find seem to say so. Not sure if i want to buy the used one or not. Hoping someone will still take measurements of one.

The rear armrest of my 2000 LS400 (approximate - within 1/4 inch): 18 1/2 inches long x 9 1/2 inches wide x 4 1/2 inches tall.

It seems quite a bit wider than the one in the 90 LS I had but everything inside my 00 LS seems bigger than in the 90 LS. The 95-00 interior seem huge compared to the 90-94 ... 2 1/2 inches more rear legroom, slightly wider in the back and a little more headroom - something I noticed a lot as I switched back and forth between the 90 and the 00.

Thanks again,

True that model is roomier than the early ones. I compared the sizes. Other than the 92 on being tapper on front end and it does become a bit narrower. The sizes are not that far apart. I thinking a later model would be a tight fit or best left down. So in may pull the trigger and get the used one. Cost of a new one from lexus is about a grand.

Thanks again.

just build a table in the center. itll look classy and be functional as an arm rest and a cup holder. you can also incorperate other features as well if you want. like whrn i get around to building one, im going to include a small door that will hide a standerd house power outlet for people to plug in laptops and other stuff.

If i was any good at wood work i might do that. You will have to do and share the photos.

There might be some aftermarket or other pre-made tables that could fit.

the part numbers are the same but I do not know if they are the same size. I like the cup holders. use them every day. I leave the front ones closed.

I have yet to see one.. unless I overlooked it. I can build one mainly cuz my gramps has a full wood working shop. I'm probaly gona make a cardbord ruff draft so I can get measurments and go from there. I just have no idea how people are mounting there front tables, unless they are just seting it on the open glove box.. and I don't like that idea. When I build my front table, I want it to be secure and mostly perminant

Okay here it is. Just a bit shorter than original and wider so sticks out a little. The gray color is lighter just some too.
