What were you trying to accomplish by pulling those fuses? -- never heard of anyone doing that. If you have a CEL and VSC warning lights, you probably have stored error codes. Read the codes and take the appropriate action. There is a VSC reset procedure described in your owners manual but that probably isn't going to work if your CEL is lit.

Kansas: I was resetting computer so it can unlearn its grandma driving curve...

There has been no lights or codes for the two months ive had the car....

Although when I pulled the battery terminal it did fix it....no more lights....

I thought the ECU fuses were the ones to reset the computer correct?

As I mentioned in a recent thread, there seems to be a fairly widespread misunderstanding on how much "learning" these cars do. Five minutes of driving at varying speeds is more than enough for your car's system to unlearn any memory it has.

I bought my 2000, LS400 new and now have over 271,000 miles on it. It runs great, but started displaying multiple error messages. Low Oil Pressure, VSC, Headlight leveliing. I use Mobile 1 Full synthetic and have over 1,500 miles since the last oil change. Oil looks great great, not low. I believe that it is some type of electrical or computer problem, rather than a mechanical problem. Car gets around 25 MPG. I also noticed that the numbers and letters on the radio display are not conistant. Sometimes they are hard to read and some times they display perfectly. Strange thing is that they are easy to read now that I am getting the error messages. One more thing, this started after it sat for a week without my starting it. I had to jump start it to get it started and the error messages started showing up within 5 minutes aftert starting the car. Odd thing is that I have had no problem starting the car after jump starting it. Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!

The battery can cause strange issues if it is discharged below nominal levels. Normally the car will not have enough juice to start and you'll need to jump it as you did. Once the battery is back at normal levels, it should not bean issue.

How old is the battery? A week sitting isn't a big deal in most cases but on a marginal battery, this can be a problem to check into. I've had mine sitting up to 3 weeks without problems. Generally I will disconnect or use a battery tender at 14+ days.

If the odd engine lights or display problems persist and the battery is tested good. I then wonder if some critter that likes PVC-plastic has decided to taste the insulators on the wires. Like rats getting into the engine compartment.
