Hello im new in the forum and new on ls400.. may i just ask if any one here knows any source where to buy that trunk lights that are short compared to our oem.. is it wald? Ive seen a lot of images in google.. please let me know.. ill wait reply's god bless and more power

What do mean by "short"? Are you talking about the trunk mounted light units like the ones that were used on gen 1 LS400's sold in countries where wider registration/license plates are used?

If you are, you can buy them from any UK or European Lexus dealer or maybe from a salvage company over there ... or eBay UK. I don't know if the mounting holes including the one for the trunk lock will match. Also, the UK/Europe trunk mounted light units have foglights.

if u swap the euro inner tails, ur gonna be left with a giant gaping hole on both sides.

Have your body guy cover the openings if you get the Euro tails. Trying to ship a trunk lid nicely is going to cost $$ and you will still need your body guy to spray it.

Hmmm ... I told you where you can buy this stuff if you want to go to the trouble -- a UK or European Lexus dealer or eBay UK. I didn't spend more than a minute looking and saw the LS400 in the attached photo that someone in the UK is breaking for parts.

I bought a bunch of stuff in the early 1990's both by phone and in person from Park Lane Lexus in London. They didn't have any problem shipping to the U.S. but the prices and shipping costs were HIGH.

You could also ask on Lexus forums for countries where these smaller light units were used. The name of one of these forums is on the photo I posted in my first reply.

But as Puredrifter said: but.......why?
