Default ls400 driver seat not working..

this is my father in laws car, hes pretty old and only time there is any sort of maintaince done he comes by me and leaves the car here...

so after few days when i got to it, the battery was dead, i jump started it and now the driver seat is not moving/working....the passenger side works ok.

Another thing the car is running really rough almost like missing/misfiring( me think it needs to get new spark plugs/ leads /cap it has 149k miles and is a 95) i cant even get into the car and drive because i cant move the seat..i trired searching didnt find anything - i apologize if there is already a theard out there.

All common issuse.

This might help solve the seat issues. The engine issues could be a number of things, so its best to check them all out. I would be taking a look at the MAF sensor, the ignition system and maybe have that ALT looked at if your car won't hold a change. I can tell you from first hand experience that battery will die fast if the ALT is gone.

There is no specific fuse for the power seats there is a circuit breaker but this supplies power to both seats, the fuel flap opener and the theft deterent system so it will be latched and working.
If the seat has not been moved for some time it may be a connector underneath has come loose or the wiring loom is broken so it's a case of getting underneath with a flashlight ( not easy) and have a good look.

You're not gonna be able to see the wiring under the seat unless you unbolt it and tip it backwards. (been there, done that) There is a relay under each seat but I'm not sure if it's just for the heating element or for that and the seat motors.
