Exclamation 96 Temperature Gauge not working

I have a 96 LS400 and all of a sudden the temp gauge is not working at all at times i can smack the dash and it works but then i have those days where nothing happens can some one please help me.....

It's probably a bad capacitor. I know it's been covered more then once so if ya search you'll find what you need to know and how to fix it. I'm not sure if it's in here or not; https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...000-bucks.html

Take the cluster out and disassemble. The three screws that hold the temp gauge and the fuel gauge need to be tightened slightly. Look for bad caps and replace as needed.
