Default OEM Floor Mats? Where to buy?

I tried searching and came up with quite a few results that were many years old. I'm looking for a set of black oem (or equal quality) mats for my car and am not having a lot of luck. factorylexusparts.com seems to only have them in Gray or Taupe... it's the same story on lexuspartsworld.com. Any ideas?

Yeah I didn't have much luck finding new black ones. Get another color and dye it. I got some from the junkyard, dyed em black with RIT dye and they look like new. Aside from the driver's mat where the heelpad has some fraying. I could prob fix that if I were so inclined. $4 for mats from junkyard and $7 for 2 boxes of dye from Michaels crafts and a little hot water. Woot.

Well damn if that isn't annoying... I've still got my tan factory floormats but wanted some new ones that don't show dirt and stains quite as easily... I guess I can take a look at just dying them.

Shampoo the heck out of them first, then boil a couple pots and add some hot bathwater. Follow the directions on the box. I used 2 boxes of dye for 4 mats, in a plastic storage tub, for longer than specified and they look great. I'll have to post pics with the rest of my "build" some day.

Even that website says the black floormats have been discontinued. WTF.

Looks like your method is going to have to be the winner.

Edit: has anyone tried these: http://www.amazon.com/Lexus-LS400-Ca...2316908&sr=8-1

Default Why OEM?

For the price of OEM there are some manufacturers like Lloyd's who make better replacements in any color you want, including floor grommets & stitched logos.

So the quality on Lloyd's are acceptable?

DonCorleone> Sounds nice. Do you know if i can spray my newly bought taupe oem mats with something so the dirt easily can come off? I was thinking of something like the stuff my mom sprayed on my shoes when i was a little boy

3m Scotchguard would be your best bet. Shampoo every few months to keep it fresh and clean. Switch to rubber mats for snow/rain.

Default Lloyd's

I think so. I had the Lloyd's Ultimates in a previous vehicle, they were the heaviest by weight, but they make lighter/cheaper options also. Made a noticeable difference in sound dampening also. I plan to order a set for my LS later this summer.
