Question Rebuilding Caliper 97 LS 400 Removing bolts

I am attempting to take off the front calipers to rebuild the pistons. The bottom bolt sits right if front of the steerig arm and it is a torx bolt. There is no room to get the torx drive in there. Do I have to take the steering arm apart or am I missing something?

....you're going to have to remove the caliper from the car before you rebuild it....

comes off with 2 standard 17mm bolts i believe.....
