Default Replacing heated mirror

I have a 2000 lexus ls400.
Last night my dad saw a deer and swerved trying to avoid it but the mirror hit it and now the glass is cracked. I saw that i had heated mirrors and i do not know if i can just put a glass mirror over it or if i should buy the actual heated glass assembly.

it looks like i could take the heated pad in the back off and then just attach it to a new glass

i have 2 pics attached to show how its cracked.

the mirror is also auto-dimming, the glass can be had reasonably from lexus iirc.

Just buy a mirror off of a junked LS? They can be had for usually between $50-$100 on eBay too.

I just found out that the back plate of the mirror is also missing! That only comes with the mirror housing and cant be bought separately. Yay Lexus!

So the back plate can be seperated from the glass? I bought a replacement side view assembly cause I broke the back plate on my stock one but the new one doesnt have the film on the mirror for the autodim. It looks like it was washed away or something. If possible ill take the glass and cover from the old one.
