Default Modding the newer style license plate lights

Is there a way I can put the newer type lighting for the rear plate on my 98 LS? The kind that's on the newer Lexus models?

I know guys from my BMW board have done this mod and it looks amazing. I would love to have it on my LS.

This one, right?

T-10/194 5SMS led bulbs 6000K - city light, license plate, puddle light etc.

That'll work in my 98 right?

I upgraded my license plate lights and my parking kights up front that look like the halo's and it looks awesome! Definitely upgrade to the LED 194's! I have a 98 also and i love my lex! Have had it for 3 years and finally in the beginning of this year I found these forums and started to change it the way I like it! What color is your lex and what have you done to it?

I'd honestly do this instead:

The boards are cool, and really bright. But not really OEM-looking. All the BMW's & Lexus' have a faint blue-ish tone to them, here's a BMW comparo:

But if you want super bright then the boards are the way to go for sure. I'm using the ones i posted above, they're wide-angle and they're bright enough with a slightly-better-than-oem look IMO:
