Default Wheel Size Question for 1995 LS400... please help

So I was fortunate to pick up a 95 LS400 which ive been interested in since I was 16... anyhow...

Im trying to fit MSR 093 wheels and have the infamous brake clearance issues up front...

I got 1.8in drop up front and 1.5 in the back... wheel size is 20 x 8.5 with +24 offset (for brake clearance)...

will this fit without rubbing fenders? or will I have to roll the fenders?

tire sizes a issue???

Thank You...

Offset has nothing to do with brake clearance. Its the design of the wheel or "disk" on multipiece wheels. You shouldnt have to roll your fenders with those specs unless you run an excessively large tire and/or minimal camber.

Thanks... Yeah I just wanted to run these mesh rims with a nice lip and in order to fit... I needed the 24 offset... Gonna put 1 245/35 on and see if it fits first... if not... Ill try 225/35 I suppose... I wish it was easy to just pick the wheel you like but hey... gotta put in work im sure... it just makes things interesting...

thanks for the response... ive been diving in all wheel threads and didnt really find THE answer...

any more input is greatly appreciated...

I have 245/35 on mine with rolled fenders and 1/8" spacers up front to clear the brakes. I only rub at full lock - you most likely won't rub at all with 225. Unsure of my actual offset, though.

If these are not high disk wheels, you will probably have to start with a 10mm spacer, at +24 you are down to a +14. Stretching the tire, another can chime about the stretch. At 1.8" front drop, you have about 1-1.5" wheel gap shouldn't be a problem but you will have an obvious poke in front.

What is the rear wheel spec?

PD will probably have more comment.

I went to +24 in order to clear the brake w/o a spacer... so it will be +24 all around 20/8.5 all around as well..

I don't think you understand. The offset doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your brake clearance issue. Lower offset won't help at all unless they upped the back spacing too. Lowering offset just makes the wheel sit more flush to the fender.

Offset does not translate into brake clearance. Before you get them unboxed and or tires mounted, call AR up and verify fitment for your car.

And?
Did AR have a fitment or what thickness spacer will you need?

Thanks for all the info... sooo here is the story...

the only reason I went to 24 offset is because with these particular wheels that is what is required to clear the brake... I understand it doesnt mean brake clearance but in this case it does...

I had the opportunity to check fitment before I purchased them and they do... barely any poke but it seems I may need fenders rolled up front or MAYBE I can get away with more - camber up front...

rubs (sometimes) probably more often then Id like so.... fender roll and camber adj.. this week...

Looks like I also will need that damn carrier bushing ADUS 505... any ideas of where I can order this from... Im trying to avoid EBAY and mybushings.com no longer functions properly...
