Default Acceleration = light flutter feel on 98 LS400

Hey gang,

I recently purchased a 98 Lexus LS400. The car is awesome and runs very smooth. It has 218000 miles (highway miles) on it and was well taken care of by a older gent. I have a concern about it though and really would appreciate any feed back.. I have never owned a Lexus or Toyota. Below is what I am having a concern with.

When I hit the accelerator it seems like the car has a very light vibration feel and a very light hesitation feel. Like it is a little cogged. When I hit the gas in park the RPM's seem normal. They sit about 500-600 in idle (normal) and push the gas it seems in go through the RPM's go up fine and come down. But I can feel this very light vibration / light hesitation feel. I don't want to class it as a sputter because it really does not sputter. When I am driving it I can feel it sometimes at stops when I accelerate. Is that normal with LS400 V8 motors?

Again, appreciate any feedback.

One last thing the feeling is like a flutter not really a sputter.

First year of the drive-by-wire with no direct throttle linkage. This results in the feeling of a slight hesitation. May be what you're feeling.
