Default Help! Ls 400 Gas Pedal

Ok well the other day I was backing out of my house and put it on Drive and was driving away like normal all of a sudden the car shook a bit and the gas pedal just fell to the floor and stopped working. The car works fine, starts up normal, when I put it on D or R it moves but I just can't step on the gas. Do you think its just a loose throttle cable or something? If so how much would it cost to get it fixed.

Thank you,

It sounds like a broken cable or it's come off either at the pedal or the throttle body,if you look at the engine bulkhead/firewall area on the driver's side you should see the black throttle cable, follow it to the throttle body and see if it's attached,if it is look up into the footwell and see if it attached to the pedal.
