Default New Strut Bars and Ball Joints - Still Noisy

I just replaced the strut bars and ball joints on my '99 LS, but to my dismay, it still pops going over speed bumps and up into the driveway. 116K on the car. What should I try next? Anyone want to chime in?

Not sure what you mean by strut bars but did you check the upper control arms for bush play and worn ball joints

I checked them and they appeared to be good.

check the bushings in the rear suspension. the carrier arms etc... the bushings at the wheel hub end are known to be worn out so bad they are gone. the ones on my 93 were. just replaced them with poly bushings a couple weeks ago. made a big difference.

PD, I tightened the subframe this weekend to specs. Thanks for the tip. I found it in the "Maintenance" section of the shop manual. Go figure. I couldn't believe I got about five turns on the driver's side... Still didn't fix the noise, but I was glad I did it. The noise is on both sides up front. I guess I'll just have to start throwing money at it. UCA's and LCA's are pretty expensive. I guess it could be the shocks or shock mounts.

PD, I see you asked about OEM or Poly bushings... I'm using all OEM parts. Not messing around because I love the Lexus ride. Most comfortable car in the world. I love driving it. It is a car that does its job effortlessly.

I was in the same boat on my 2000 (did strut bars and LBJ's) and it didn't fix my problem...was going to do upper shock mounts but I got t-boned by an 85 yr/old lady. Problem solved.

Sway bar bushings and links... Those are cheap. Good idea.
McSwine, hopefully my fix will be less destructive than yours. Did you buy another?

Yes, snagged a clean, 1 owner 2002 430 from Sewell in Dallas.

And I hope your outcome is different (and successful) as well.
