replacing TB/WP, EGR tube 1996 LS

working on a friends 96 LS, 182K, replacing belt, pump and seals on the front, and EGR tube and gaskets on the rear, and a couple of hood struts also.
wish me well,
supposed to be 19 tonight

it's currently 67* out here....

and that's on the cool side :p

well we finished, water pump, timing belt all seals and bearings. hood struts. egr tube and front brakes also... now we have a 2000 LX470 and a 2002 LX470 that needs the TB/WP, the 2002 is turbocharged (factory) but the parts seem to be the same.. and it also needs a RF axle/CV replaced plus the RF inner tierod end

I don't know HOW you can do the EGR tube so easily. Mine was an absolute monster of a job even with the transmission out.

yours must have been a 90-94 model, never had to do one of those. on the 95-97 just the lower tube is all that needs replacing... couple of hours, round trip....

It is not my Lexus, or statement, the same owner owns both the 2000 & 2002, and he said the 2002 came with the supercharger... I just repeated it.
NOW set me straight.... I'm all ears..

'96, and it was a complete pain even with the trans out. My replacement tube was a little bent though, so that probably played a role.
