ok so i was given this 95 ls and it wont accelerate , it sounds like its chokeing when u step down into the gas . has no check engine light and if you drive at reg speeds it shifts fine but as soon as you punch it , it takes a nose dive . any advice is greatly appreciated

Still check for codes. Check plugs, wires, bad gas if it has been sitting for a while now? Has it been sitting for a good while before given to you?

clean your mass air flow sensor, AND your air filter, it probably cannot get enough air to handle the increased fuel.... OR ... too much air for the fuel (not likely) but possible.
there really should be a code, go by autozone and have them checked anyway. free.

clean your MAF sensor and throttle body man, 95 LS so i would expect these things to be clogged up if you haven't done the proper cleaning before, but since your car didn't throw any CEL codes, that's good!

Pop the hood, notice where the air intake is. Check that the hood insulation isn't sagging from age and clogging the air intake like a hand over a vacuum hose when you step on it. That's what my problem was with same symtoms you describe.
