Unhappy Shorted cam sensor????

My 1992 Ls400 laid down on my wife the other day. When I got there she said the car was running weird and was struggling to do even 10 mph.... So I pop the hood and there it was.... the driver side cam position sensor wires lying on the serpentine belt. It rubbed through the insulation and shorted the white and red wires together with the shielding..... Well no big deal I repaired the wires and ohmed out the sensor and compared it to the other cam postion sensor and it read 1.2 ohms.... I thought I had just played the part of hero for my wife... I tried to start the car and it turned over normal and sounded normal but it will not start... I was hopeing some one could give me some help.... I need to locate the "ecm" So I can inspect it ....( I cant find it yet) and If there are any other checks I should do.... Oh I must metion that I tried jumping the obd1 plug and the o/d light and the check engine light blink continuiolsy...(Fast)

Any help would be great.... Thanks

It may be worth disconnecting the battery for a short while (make sure you have any radio codes) and then reconnecting,if the ECU has glitched this should reset it.

Well I located the ecu and opened it up.... And There is nothing visually wrong.... or should I say "burned up". I know I am getting spark.... and I cracked the fuel line and that's what is missing from this equation.... when I turned the ing. on the fuel pump is not coming on.... I noticed what looks like little relays in the ecu ...... Maybe that is my issue ???

It's interesting that there was no signal at one of the cam sensors due to a damaged wire but yet there were no CELs.

To give you a little history. I bought the car from an auction. 189000 miles replaced the timing belt fan pulley waterpump front crank seal valve cover gaskets oil pan gasket all pullies on timing belt and serpiteen belt. at 204000 miles and the starter at 220000 miles shortly after buying the car my CEL was on for egr malfunction..... so I rode with it on. so to repliy to your comment of no CLE....I am sure there was one, but as I stated when I tried to retrive the flash codes the CLE and the O/D light blink... with no hesation,,,

So I replaced the ecu. and it fired right up......"that is it". It ran smooth and I started and stopped it about 4 times...well the fifth time was a no start "F#*K". So I ordered the cam position sensor and replaced it...knowing this was not the problem...I wanted to get the splice off of my mind.... Tried to start it and it fired right up and ran about 5 min and then the idle got low and came back up and then got low again and shut off????? Well I think that pretty much tells me its not the ecu. I know the fuel pump relay is coming on but I am still not getting fuel..... So Fuel pump will be the next step. Any suggestions on where to get a good one from?
