Default 93 Rear wheel bearing

I'm going through my manual and getting the bearings out seems like no prob. Normal pullers will work, right? Question I have is on install. It says to use a press to install the hub to the axle carrier, is it possible to do this without a press, something like you would do with the oil seals? (hammer and large socket to tap them in) Thing is, I don't have a shop close enough to walk to. Or, what (and where) would be a good press to buy, about $100. I think I might need one in the future anyway for other suspension parts. Also, doing this job is there anything else that should be changed while I'm in there like any bushings or whatever? What's a decent place to get a good deal on bearings?
