Default Detailing my 93 LS400.

Have a few question for the group, I'm doing a complete detail of my car, just bought a new Porter Cable and started with some compound to remove some scratches and swirls. Took off the two decals on the trunk and see that there were holes and some kind of glue holding them on, can anyone suggest how to get the glue off? It looks like Lexus used two sided tape to attach them. I'm going to replace the gold emblems with the chrome ones.

Can the black trim on the front window be removed? Thinking of removing and have it painted and putting it back on. I know when I had the window replaced the glass guy had some kind of tool but not sure what it was. Does it just pop off using a putty knife?

Thanks:

Dupont 3812 enamel reducer. Real good stuff and will remove the most stubborn of glue/adhesive on paint, good on tar as well. Safe for clear coat. It will take spots and dirt off of leather as well but it will probably take some dye of the leather and or plastic parts - beware. You can buy/order it at Napa.

Thanks Chin, I'll look into, tried Goo gone but not working very good.
As to the metal pieces on each side of the wind shield I found three screws under the rubber seal use a philips head and they come right off. Plan on talking with a paint shop and seeing what they recommend to paint these.
