Default Any difference between Lexus vs Infiniti

So my friend asks what's a difference between Lexus 98+ up ls400 vs Infiniti q45 98+ up?

I know they have different motors. but how is the seat cushions to both cars? Does lexus feel way better comfort then Infiniti or is the other way around?

Q45 bodykits has tons option to choose from. And few Ls400 decent body kits.

i'd consider them pretty equal. the 97-01 q41 is pretty bland but it is dependable and will have pretty much the same comforts as a similar gen ls. the 98-00 ls doesn't excite me very much either tbh but it's a good car. aftermarket options are the same for either.

it depend on what u want to do with the car, i will point out the main difference
engine:1998-2000 LS 400 got small engine with more power 4.0 L 1UZ-FE V8 (290 hp),300 lb-ft of torque with variable valve timing (VVT-i), 1997-2001 Infiniti Q45 4.1 VH41DE (266 hp), 278 lb-ft of torque.
Transmission: 1997-2000 came with 5 speed automatic transmission while infiniti Q45 has 4 speed. To sum up, LS 400 is powerful, comfortable and fuel efficient compare to infiniti.
Lexus use more quality material
Standard features for the second-generation Q45 included a leather interior with fake woodgrain trim, but no dual climate control
LS 400 is the most reliable car every tested (for 15yr)
do more research but i will go with LS

I owned a 95 LS and 98 Q45. I you have not driven a Q, than you should before commenting. Each has its own style and uniqueness, I love both of them. However, I sure love the Q; is smooth, powerful & sleek. I have best of both world. I have a Q---LS & and acura legend. everytime I drive each 1 of them I still get the (LOOK)

Ive driven both cars. Both are decently quick for being heavy sedans. But I prefer the interior of the LS over the Q, it feels more comfortable and its really quiet when I drive it

All depends on what you want from a car.
I personally would never buy the Q for the headache it is from the engine to trunk shocks.
it burns oil , leaks and loves to have check engine lights. It is faster more nimble and more responsive than the LS but you can make the LS handle better but you can't make the Q more reliable . Also the Q rusts like nobodies business as most Nissians do when compared to older 90's Toyota's .
Both have their good points but the reliability is what kills the Q dead .........

I’ve had the Q for a while and none of symptoms you described I've experience. I will say that parts are little more $$$$ pricey but I been able to offset cost buy buying online as I do for the LS. The paint on 98 is flawless, not an inch of rust. On the other hand, the LS has had a little body work. By no means am I pushing the Q as being a better car than the LS. I think that a matter of preference and choice. This is a Lex Forum so you will get more of us leaning towards the LS. But those of you who want to know more about the Q go to Q45 Forum / Cima Forum and you will see different opinions’. In fact, the LS is not that popular in that forum. I’m just glad that I’m able to enjoy both vehicles.
