Default Found the problem

I checked the crank sensor/wires just like Rolexus400 suggested, and what do I see but the sensor dangling from it's wire no longer attached to the engine. Easy fix ? Except that the crank pulley has spun in half and walked back into the sensor grinding it's plastic mount into goo. So now I need a new crank position sensor and a new/used crank pully (harmonic balancer). Is it Miller Time yet ?

Thumbs up Don't wurry bout it

Williamb82, you don't have to check the pulley and sensor, they only fail on every 12th millionth car....... and that was mine ! Good luck on the starter, I'll say a prayer.

lol. thanks. i dont think itll be too bad. i dont plan to remove it, but if i have to i have a 24in extension and several 9-12in extensions so i can get the bolts with the ratchet by the back of the trans like i would a trans swap. fun part is gonna be removing and reinstalling the intake manifold.

Default Update on no run problem

Well Rolexus400 was right again. Pulled the skid pan crawled under and looked up at the crankshaft position sensor to check everything and found the sensor dangling, no longer attached. The crank pulley(harmonic balancer) had spun apart and wiped out the sensor, which killed everything. When Rolexus400 found out what I needed, he and is wife made a road trip to Roanoke and brought me the sensor and pulley. Amazing ! You guys that live in and around Tidewater that are having problems with your cars should give him a shout, before you **** away hundreds of dollars on unneeded parts and service. He has a co-pilot (his wife) that knows more about these cars than I do). Thanks for everyones help, hopefully this will be it for a while. p.s. My condolences to williamb82 for his problems, wish it could have been an easy one.
