Default Strange tire wear, clunking when stopping and hitting bumps

Hey guys,

what does that sound like mostly? Upper control arms? Ball joints?

I'll try to add a pic of the wear soon.

Clunking could be your A-arm bushings or the bushings on the swaybar. Tire wear could be a combination of factors, however, my 95 had bad clunking noise and bad ball joints but no unusual tire wear. Jack it up and secure with jack stands and usual safety precautions. Take a pry bar and see if you can move the tie rod etc... and if the wheel deflects any. While you've got it up check out your wheel bearings by trying to move the tire back and forth in a vertical then horizontal direction. Should be zero movement. Last but not least have it checked at a reputable alignment shop. Good luck.

Strut-caster bar bushing and related discussions.

I'd like to see some of our big maintenance discussions get appended to the FAQ. PD just loves these...
