I have a first gen and like the look of the 95-97 front bumper so I'm planning on trying to find a way to mount it on. I know it is a little bit wider than the 90-94 but it might be do able. It might not look super clean but I'm gona try it out. Has anyone ever attempted this? If so what were the major areas of concern? I am also planning on doing the rear bumper too. Should I not waste my time? Give me some input fellas.

yeah but UCF30 is closer to width with a 20 than a 20 is to a 10.

Iirc he did it by combining two bumpers rather than fabbing one to fit, so your point is moot my friend.

In other words, see if you could use the 90 top half and 95 lower half, find a point on both bumpers that are similar and see if you can dr Frankenstein it


Don't listen to these guys, they'd have everyone in the world drive newer lexus's like theirs, do your thing and be different I say.

Yes, I agree. Measure both bumpers, plan and find your cut/merging point so it will look clean.

Thanks brandicus,7rp just the feedback I was looking for. This will be a frankenstein type project for sure. I'd rather invest money into building the car they way I want it, instead of forking out the cash for a newer model (more money for mods). I will post up pics once this thing gets underway.

Thanks for the link. I seen this a while back and was actually inspired by this project. I think the hardest part for my project would be finding/using the right molding compounds for urethane. Other than that the rest should be a breeze for me. I'm pretty smart. Lol.

the vehicle specs listed are overall vehicle widths, with there being +/- 0.5in throughout the 3 generations.

these arent really all that reflective of the bumper widths. i've seen the bumpers of a 10 and 20 side by side (off of the cars) and the 10 seemed substantially narrower, mind you it could have been due to them not being mounted.

lets just hope for my sake that the differences are miniscule and in my favor. Either way it's a go.

I have front and back bumpers if you need them ( cheap ). To do them cut both bumpers at the chrome strip area to splice together.
