Default is this the standard tire size for ucf10?

Hey guys.

I'm looking into gettin tires for my new 20" wheels but i would like to buy the right ones. I have original 15" winter wheels now with 205/65-15 tires. But i looked in the glovebox and there it says:

205/65-15
215/65-15

But i dont know of that means 205 in the front and 215 in the rear or it means 205 for winter and 215 for the summer tires?

i have 205 all the way around now.

The car is from 1991.

yeah but when i want to calculate the new tires i have to now the original diameter. Example if i buy 225/30-20 they will be 2.65% smaller if i state that 215 is the original size.

But only 0,69% smaller if i state that the original tire is 205.

I dont want a bigger whell because i dont want them rubbing, but i dont want to go with too small tires too.

Google says 205/65R15 is the correct factory size for your car. I'm guessing the 215 just means they could be replaced with those as well without worrying about throwing anything off.

A 215/30 and a 225/30 will have the same diameter since the sidewall height is the same. The width will change, but it won't be doing anything to throw your speedo off or anything.

For winter, yes, put 205s on your stockers. But for summer, especially with 20s, you can go 225 without rubbing. I run 245 series tires all the way around mine (lowered, rolled fenders) and rub (harmlessly) at full lock, granted mine is also a 97 which also means larger wheel wells.

A friend of mine have a 93 and he is running like 4% bigger tires because it changes from 93->

And yep you have bigger wheel wells because its a 97'

But i gotta be carefull when getting tires. I want to go low without rubbing.

So im thinking 225/30-20 in the front and 245/30-20 in the rear. Maybe 255 i dont know if thats gonna be to much and start to rub on the wheel wells.

225/30-20 is 0,69% smaller than 205/65-15 so thats fine but 255/30-20 is 2% bigger, so i dont know if thats gonna be a problem.

245/30-20 is only 1,1% bigger than 205/65-15 so thats better though it would be nice with some more meat on the rears.

What do you think?
