I see a lot of key blanks for sale on E bay.Where would one get them cut.I dont think the lexus dealer would be keen on cutting them.

You need to find a specialized service that does those keys. Not many key cutters have the machine that can cut those. I had mine done for $70 for 2 of them. I suggest you talk to a dealer who does not specialize in Lexus but has a few on his lot. He might know a person who would do that for you.

i got my spare done for $25, but its not OEM lexus blank. If you buy blank key from ebay, what about the build-in remote? Does it need to be reprogram?

I got both of my keys done for $15 and they're aftermarket Japanese kind Lexus keys. just check you yellow pages under key cutters or something like that and you'll see many. Hope that helped.

IF you nuy a blank on ebay with the remote in the "top" of key you will need your orginal key (the black one) with the buttons so they can match the programing.

I cranked the key a week ago and the plastic decided to letgo of the metal portion (may have dropped the key prior but not that i can remember). So I went to my lexus dealer and inquired they gave me a pricw 189.00 for a new key I was a little unhappy about that price but what can I say, my other key is working fine right now . ....So that is the key deal according to the dealer
