Does anyone know of a source for the gas-filled hood supports on a 95 LS400 other than the dealer? The dealer wants $82 each for them which I will pay if this is my only option.

wow $82 for each,if could remember correctly,Steve charged $120 for each one or was that for both,but it was a long time ago so i could of been either one

Iron toad sells them for much less.I just bought two from them.Had to put one on upside down,as I not paying attention clicked the fasteners on the wrong ends.They click on easy,I cant figure how to get them back off.But it works.

try autozone or your local auto parts dealer...i think i seen a book once in autozone that had the hood shocks for the ls4, cant remember the price....

I tried all the parts houses. They have them for the SC and ES, but their books don't even show a listing for the LS400.

try measuring the length of one shock on an es or sc and compare them with the ls...i am sure there isnt much of a difference....get some generic ones if its the last solution...
