Cruise Control Ramblings
been spending the last few minutes thinking about this so i'm just gonna type it out and see what the responses are. i'm not even sure if i have a question but we'll find out soon enough.
first things first, my cruise control doesn't work. i did a little reading just now and am willing to bet that it's associated with my tail light situation (outers parking only, inners brake only) that i've never been able to figure out. i checked out the trunk harness when i first got the car but couldn't find any broken wires (i plan on ruling this out completely soon enough). i also read something about the brake fluid reservoir sensor but am not sure if my symptoms match the problem since it didn't go much into detail.
i am going to be swapping out my steering wheel for a nardi anyway so the cruise control working isn't a huge deal. i actually want to remove the system from under the hood completely as part of my underhood clean up project. is this as easy as removing the actuator and cable and tracing back the wiring into the cabin? any ill effects that i'm overlooking? how far car i go (ecu, etc.)?
i guess that's my main question (i did have a couple after all) and any thoughts on the light issue would be appreciated as well.
