Are you 100% sure that the battery is good?

Sounds like a dead battery click

Usually the starter will give problems for awhile before they 100% die.

And make sure all connections are good too. Could also be corroded between the cable end and the cable.
I got a starter from Oreilly about 4 years + ago and it still works okay. There are lots of choices where to get it and same with the cost, you can have it rebuilt locally, do it yourself, buy a new one, do the rock auto thing.
And to install and remove the old one you just have to remove the whole intake manifold, and deal with some real hard to get to bolts that hold it in. Some outfits may drop or lower the rear of the transmission to gain access to the bolts. Its about a $1000 to $2000 job depending on the out fit, some maybe cheaper. On the car I did it on the previous owners mechanic quoted $2000 and that's how I got the car cheap.

What??? He did not quote your post so somehow you feel like you did not get the credit for the suggested fix. That relates to you coming here and wasting your time?????
