Default Power Steering Pump Stalling The Car?

Good morning,

I am having a issue with my car stalling. The car drove great a week ago but now I am having issues with my car stalling. Even if I try to fire up the car, it will start and then cut off. I am aware that my power steering pump is leaking. So I took a look and notice that I did not have any fluid in the pump. I'm thinking, maybe the power steering pump is causing the pulley on the pump to lock up which the belt then locks up and then the car shuts off because the alternator is not spinning. I also notice that the power steering pump is shaking as if it's about to walk out of the engine bay. My question is, what is causing the power steering pump to shut off and could I remove the ACV, plug in the hole and reconnect everything to resolve the power steering issue or is the power steering pump shot and should be replaced?

In order to get the car started, I have to turn the key and hold my foot on the gas to keep the belt which is connected to the pump moving. Once I release my foot, the car may stay on.

Also, the alternator was tested and passed.

I hope I make sense.
Thanks!

What's wrong with you? Why do you run the pump for even a second when it's without fluid? Why can't you just take the serpentine belt off to test your theory?

I had already re-filled the fluid when I notice it was low. I've never really experience this problem with the steering pump on my 2 Acura's. It seems that it's typical with Lexus but I am going to test my theory this weekend and see what I can dig up. I may just swing by the junk yard and snag another pump and pulley.
