Default Newb - 1992 LS400

Just picked this up yesterday. 1992 Lexus LS400, 160k miles, clean title, no accidents, verified carfax. Within the last 4 months it has had a new water pump, timing belt and tensioner, LCD climate control display, brake pads, rotors, subwoofer, fuel pump, plugs, distributor caps, rotor buttons, and clutch fan bearing. It has also had the entire interior reupholstered in Katskin leather front and back. The sunroof works along with tilt, even the gas cap from the inside as well as the power antenna. The only thing wrong with it is the a/c compressor makes a little noise like the clutch is on its way out. There are hardly any dings or scratches on the entire exterior either. Got it for $2800 cash

Next mods are a new head unit (any suggestions?) and some 20% tint. I'd also like to go with chrome factory 16s and maybe a sub box and amp in the future.

NICE!!!

Being nitpicky here, but you've got two things wrong..... your two rear wheels (not tires) are on the wrong side. The wheels are directional (brake venting). They have an L or R either on the hub side or visible when the center cap is removed. Don't forget the spare. Not a big deal but something I "worried" about when I had my 90. It comes up when the tires are rotated diagonally. These wheels are meant to be rotated front to back. Like I said, just being nitpicky on an otherwise, very clean car.

And welcome to the Club!

interested in an eclipse avn20d? it doesn't play video or have rca outputs but it does have nav/cd and integrates into the dash pretty well.

probably gonna give the carpc thing another shot.

geez, did the guy actually net anything for this car? those repairs probably cost him something very close to $2800.

That was my first thought, too.
I just got my LS400 this week. Hope I'm not in for any major repairs soon!
(Got to replace the climate lcd - that's all I see so far.... Heading to ebay for that.)

Beautiful car. Congrats!

TIA
