Default will speedo needle from 90 fit a 93 cluster?

found a guy with a mint 90 ls400 for parts as he bought it for the drivetrain for a 240sx. will the speedo out of this cluster work in a 93 cluster? my needle is physically snapped and was that way when i bought the car.

Don't think it would work. For one, '93-'94 has a digital odometer, whereas '90-'92 has an analog one.

It's fit if it's just the needle you're swapping. i put a 91 tach needle in my 94.

Wait....i put just the needle itself into my car. not the whole needle assembly or gauge. i don't know if that will fit. just the needle itself.

how did you take the needle off the new speedo assembly and put it on the old one? i thought the needle was part of the individual gauge itself within the cluster? do you have pics and a writeup for this?

Dude, that was over a year ago and william has since smashed his car months ago. (Too bad after all the work he did to it) But I'm sure by now he got rid of everything he had. Try to send him a PM, it might get to him.

actually i still have the cluster. $100 plus shipping. i have the original 93 cluster with the physically snapped speedo needle too. $40 plus shipping for that if someone needs it for parts. the other needles are all fine. I know where they are as i just rearranged the garage a couple weekends ago. they are taking up valuable shelf space. lol

heres what ive been up to, i sold most the 7mgte stuff i had collected for a built motor for my 84 supra. paid some bills etc.. and then saturday i bought an aristo 2jzgte swap, and sunday i started it on the floor to make sure it doesnt knock or anything.

one day id like to get another ls400, but it wont be for quite awhile the way things are going.

no, thats the first thing that sold from the car. the whole car is gone. other then what i listed, i dont have any ls400 specific parts for sale. though in a few weeks when i get around to tearing the 2jzgte down, ill have a bunch of stuff for sale, the fuel rail and injectors, turbos, harness, ecu, igniter, hydraulic fan water pump setup. the auto trans minus the bh if anyone needs it, etc... going single with my standalone and 780cc/min injectors and my t56 with tilton twin plate clutch.

Sorry william, that I misspoke, I figured the stuff would have been gone by now. I deserve a smack in the head. That engine sounds good though, idles nice and smooth. Good luck with it and keep up the good work.
