the diff code for my LS is A01A... now iv read that NA, TT supras, SC and GS all seem to take this type with variing diff ratio's. Now from the photos ive seen, the diff centre is bolted to the crown wheel?.... now can i asume that all these cars have the same axle splines ? Now if they do, does this mean i can use any 'B' or 'D' LSD centre regardless of ratio as my crown wheel will bolt up to this type of centre ?

please for the love of all that is holy SEARCH before posting...

here's a tip, if you need to search for a 3-letter word (such as LSD) the normal forum search wont work well, so search for "LSD*" (without the quotes) in whichever forum you like and the * will act as a wildcard, pulling up results.

this has been discussed to death. i'm not exactly sure what you mean by the "crown wheel" but the LS shares the diff INTERNALS (casing does vary between models) with the later aristo/gs/soarer/sc/celsior/Crown/etc. (all big body rwd toyotas)

yes.. i'm new to this and now understand searches etc.... Q: are the diff centres the same in series 1 and series 2 ? like, are they both A01A's ? (i know they both had different ratio's)
...and ive found kaaz, cusco, TRD market LSD's but the TRD website says their centre will only work in an axle that had LSD as an option which the LS's didnt. ... any comment ?
