Question A/C and throttle control (lack of!!!)

Hi Guys,

Haven't posted here for a while - but have been reading all of your contributions, questions and answer tho'.

It is just starting to get warm here in the UK and so I have just started to switch on the air conditioning again.

I have started to notice that when the a/c is switched on that the car seems to develop a mind of its own and does not want to stop. I have to apply more braking than usual, the engine is not racing but just pushing the car forward instead of slowing gradually. With the a/c switched off the car behaves in its usual impeccable manner.

Has anybody else experienced this oddity - not really a problem as such, just a concern.

PS Hyundai v Lexus - no contest - like comparing chalk and cheese, what would you rather in your sandwich ?

The engine should idle at a higher RPM when the AC is on than when the AC is off. This means that you need to apply more brake power to keep the angry beast at bay.
