Default Clunk from right rear wheel area, anybody?

Just put a new rear tire on and as soon as I hit the gas real hard I feel a clunk. It only does this when I accelerate hard. Tire store lifted the car slightly off the ground and when the guy taps the gas the wheel had a slight wobble almost like it looked bent. The wheel was balanced there also. Never did this before. Any help would be great. Thanks (2000 LS)

Why did you have to replace the rear tire? Somehow end up flat? Possibly hit a pothole somewhere along the way?

Two things comes to mind at first glance;
-Wheel is slightly bent inward causing an odd ride
-Tire is not good, has an air bubble (or similar mishap) on it.

Get it checked again and you can also run your hand thru the tread and sidewalls to see if there are irregularities.

Goodluck!

Tire was bald so I replaced it with a slightly used one from my friend. You can feel the clunk even when you hold the brake and give it gas. Tire place said it was a bushing. I am not that familiar with this car yet so I thought this would be the best place to start.

It is coming from the right rear. I felt it for the first time immediatly as it took off in traffic.

Anyone have an idea as to what this sound is. Could a bad bushing on one of the rear arms cause this?

To eliminate if it is the tire swap rear tires and see if the clunk follows the tire.

like said before make sure its not the tire, also idk how sensitive the dif is, but usually when you change tire you do it in pairs so there even, if you only changed one tire that can cause it, ive seen it happen on other types of cars
