Random Misfire Check engine light VSC light
i have a 1998 LS 400 with 382K miles and was running like i first bought it. recently the car coded with P300 Random Misfire and VSC Control, and the car misfires like it has a bad plug. I was wondering if anyone has had the problem and fixed it. Could it be the Crank Position or cam position sensor. any help please

I'm having a similar misfire issues with my 98 LS. It keeps throwing P0300, P0301, P0303, P0305, and P0307. Seems ridiculous to disable VSC anytime a code is thrown! I could use some help too. I'm thinking there is a short or something common to all the coils on that side?

Relax, the VSC signal is used by the onboard computer for MANY different codes, and problems,m from a low battery to having a loose fuel cap... otherwise we would have a door to door dash with 100's of lights..
SO, pull the codes and repair/replace the faulty items....
mine just went off on my 99 with 1349 & 1354 codes, I removed the OIL CONTROL VALVES cleaned them and I am good to go...
