Lexus BBQ
So I went out to get some McDonalds with my 91 LS400 and I got some mcdoubles and a sweet tea. On my way back home I heard a pop and a bunch of lights on the cluster went on and the temp gauge started going up. I assumed some hose popped so as I was pulling over all this smoke came out of the vents. I popped the hood and my car was havin a bbq. I instantly ran to get the sweet tea and tried to put out the fire. I put out most of it but whatever was left started cookin the rest of my engine bay. By the time the firefighters came the damage was done. Looks to be electrical as the firefighters say and my pass side fuse box is completely gone. Anybody got any advice on what I should start doing? my insurance doesnt cover this I believe so im just SOL
Sucks
, but since you are here writing this it is safe to assume that you are okay, though.
Unless you have a lot of disposable free time for diagnosing and replacing stuff, I'd venture out to say that you might be better off looking for a new ride. These things have so much electrical stuff on them, that I doubt you could get everything working like before.
Chasing electrical gremlins is a real PITA.
Good luck, either way.
