clear bbk stock wheels?

I brought SC and find out that it came with wheel from the LS400. I not an expert in LS, so I dont know what year those wheels came from. I just got 95-00 LS BBK. Just wondering if they will fit or not.
Thanks

i'm still relatively new to the ls so my oem wheel recognition may not be up to par but i believe those are 93-94 and will not clear.

PureDrifter 09-27-09 07:09 PM

a little hard to tell but im pretty sure those are 89-94 ls wheels.

wont clear 95-00 ls400

Asia-H.T. 09-28-09 07:42 AM

93-94 UCF11 wheels.

@Puredrifter: Aren't the brakes from 1993 up to 2000 LS400s the same? the rotor size is the same I believe

LiCelsior 09-28-09 07:54 AM

93-94 had the larger 2 pots and 95-00 had the 4pot.

PureDrifter 09-28-09 01:44 PM

and iirc rotors are different

Yes sir.

The wheels seem to be from 93-94 LS with the twin pot.

Thanks guys for the answer.

This means I have to get new sets of wheels to clear the LS brakes.

PureDrifter 09-29-09 05:27 PM

yep, or 15mm spacers (at least, maybe 20mm)

To make absolutely sure, you can mount the caliper (don't put brake lines). Just mount it on the wheel hub, put the wheels on and turn it to see if you have clearance.

93-94 wheels will NOT fit the bigger calipers without spacers.
it's been confirmed by previous members.
