Hey guys,

I was flushing my oil and seafoaming the other day and I looked on my distributor cover. It said the last timing belt job was at 98'000kms (60'900 miles). I am now reached 206'500kms (128'315 miles) on my odometer. When should I change them next? I'm planning on doing it myself. I have some good guidance and a good general knowledge of auto mechanics You think I can pull it off?

The recommended interval is around 100K miles or 150K kms. I.e. you can most probably wait a couple of years.
If you want to spend around US$600 and maybe a weekend on doing the timing belt change, Lexls and Lextreme have very good tutorials on that and other maintainence tasks. (Lextreme also have the various parts you need for a complete timing belt/water pump change. But these parts can of course be found elsewhere too.)

//Björn (who just got himself a -95 too )

recco'd TB interval is 90k miles, do it around that time since your car is a 95 and therefore has an interference engine.

Yup, sucks that the engine is interference. I was just thinking the other day what would happen if my belts went to heaven I guess the best thing would be to do a 2JZ 6-speed LSD swap
