Default New tension rods on a 1998 with 80k ?

Had oil changed. Reviewed receipt when got home. In notes section, I see mechanic recommends replacing Tension Rods for cost of about $450 . I do not see much in these forums or on the web about LS400 tension rods. Is this part known by another name? Is this an easy DIY fix? Thanks for any help.

search for "Strut Rods".

if that price includes parts it's not too bad a deal. they commonly go out and the OEM parts alone go for ~$230/pair. the labor is pretty much the same as replacing the front shocks.
