Question HID flickering?

ok on my 2000 now the right hand low beam flickers,i recently bought silverstar ultras then after installing the highs i realized the lows are HID's so ok what does it mean when they flicker? is the bulb bad or the whole controll unit? can i replace just the bulb? or do i have to replace the controll moduel /ballest, i dont know much of anything about HID so feel free to school me. i unplugged the harness before i figured out what they were did i damage something? the light dident flicker before i messed with it. thanks in advance

Flickering I believe is the bulb. This is how metal halide bulbs go out, they start flickering first before going out completely.

swap the bulbs side to side. if the flickering moves tot he other side, it's the bulb. if it stays, it's the ballast.
