Default sunroof moonroof leak

you can get a guide rail cover that will hold the moonroof tighter against the roof of the car. they are $12.95. there are 7 of them left in this country according to the dealership i went through. the part number is 63255-5001. all 7 are for the right side.

Hey there, How do you know that thats indeed the problem? Could be the tubes that drain the water either blocked, or are facing some other issue.

did you check to see if the current ones are clean and free of any blockage? Usually thats the case. On other occasions after an accident, shops forget to install them correctly.

The only thing that can be the issue are those tubes...
One of mine was blocked (there is four of them) and it leaked...after that I phoned the company here that does sunroof-s (repairs,installs...) and I tought it is the rubber or something...

Guys pitched up, and had some sort of cable (It was around 5-7mm tick flaxible metal or something) and cleaned the water drain channels....
It never leaked again, and they told me that that is the only thing that is the problem when a factory sunroof leakes - one of those water drain channels gets blocked (In 3rd party sunroof installation there are lots of other problems)....

1. we did clear the tubes.

2. never had any accident repair.

3. isn't there a little logic in keeping the water from coming in in the first place? the part number i gave you is for the redesigned part. the old one is not used any more. presumably the new part forces the glass up tighter to the roof, to keep it from leeking in at all.

4. i thought you might want to know there are only 7 of these left in the country. if not, then good luck.
