Default 00, overfilling tank --> gas comes out!

Car is LS400, 2000 model, 200K miles.

Am having a problem where fuels come out on every overfilling of tank with fuel.

Any one has this problem with his LS? How to solve this?

I had googled for this, I think maybe i have to change the
Fuel tank over fill check valve which maybe cracked or damaged.

But i cant see this part in my repair manual!
I had attached page of fuel tank.

Please help!

Maybe you can make a hole in the tank so extra gas can come out....haha. Just kidding.

I think the overfill sensing mechanism is in the pump nozzle, not the car.
Maybe just don't overfill? Its bad for your carbon canister.

Where do you expect the gas to go ?
If you need to max out km then get a secondary gas tank added or keep a spare can in the trunk.
Over filling it will cause the Evap system to fail and the car to run worse .

Get some plastic Gas tanks in the trunk.
