1991 LS400 Front end suspension question (the car is riding low)
Admittedly, I do not know anything about suspensions, so I was hoping someone here could shed some light.
Over the last few weeks, the front end suspension on my 1991 LS400 has been riding low. The car even looks low. I feel every bump that I go over. I feel like I'm in a roller coaster for 2 seconds as I pull into my driveway.
I brought the car to a local shop and they said it was an electrical issue they couldn't fix.
On the dashboard, the "NORM" keeps blinking. The height control button in the trunk is on. In the manual it states:
Do you know the exact cause of this issue? If yes, how much do you think it will cost to fix? It would be helpful to even know a ballpark figure.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

"If the 'NORM' display blinks when the height control ON/OFF switch is turned on, there is a malfunction in the Lexus ride control system or height control system.
If the 'NORM' display is blinking and your suspect a malfunction, first check that the height control ON/OFF switch is actually turned on.
If you then confirm that the switch is blinking in the malfunction mode, have the system checked by your Lexus dealer at the first opportunity."

Sounds like the air struts are totallyshot on the car. As Pure drifter said, pretty common thing on the first gen, however it is not gonna be a cheap fix. Factory Air struts are VERY expensive to replace and most wo have them just convert over to shock/spring setup or coilover setup.
