if u changing one side its pointless cuz then it might be the other side...change both at once. also dont go like cheap cheap, use www.oxygensensors.com
Ok thanks guys. I can use a universal O2 sensor (read: cheaper) right? Also, do I just need one or do I need two?
The pre-cat O2s are heated 3 or 4 wire ones, the fronts are 2-wire non-heated ones. I've done mine a while back, but I used Walker brand sensors, the heated ones were Denso copies. If I was to do it again, I would use Denso, NTK(which is the OEM to Honda and Nissan, made by NGK) or Bosch.
If you don't want to deal with splicing in wires, RockAuto has decent pricing on the pre-terminated Denso sensors.
Ok so I need two 4-wire heated sensors? Why do you say you wouldn't use Walker again?
The Walkers are doing a fine job - after all the heated pre-cat sensors are Denso clones or made by Denso, but the 2-wire non-heated ones were of dubious quality.
i wouldnt use universal 02's either.....u start changing the length of the wires and u change resistance
true, but the change in impedence from the longer wire length (assuming you wouldn't just cut the excess off) would be so minute that the car would NOT misbehave.
aftermarket O2 sensors, installed properly, are perfectly fine.
