so i picked up a 91 ls400, it seems like its got all the options except for airbags and nakamichi, interiors in rough shape and it needs a trans, but i picked the car up for 300 dollars (some trailer trash people had it)

anyway, ive got a supra auto trans (mk3) and an aristo trans... will either of these work, if not what do i need

the supra wont work, u need one from a 90-94 Ls i think, whats wrong with the one u have?

slips horribly.

are the differences changeable? i mean i can swap outputs, bel housings, sensors, etc... is a ls400 really the only trans that will work... these trans came in like 20 diff cars

I'm pretty sure its not the A340 from the mk3 supra, but I'd check on that, you might be a bellhousing swap away from driving home.

still runs great, i cant believe how smooth the engine is or how quick this 3700 lb car is for the hp it makes

flush all the old crap out.

oh no, this trans is shot lol... you let the car idle for more than 30 seconds, and it wont even roll.
