Default 19" G37 Rims on a LS400?! Teaser Pics

pics first:

Nice background!

Got these 19" G37 rims for cheap! Specs are: 19x8.5 front with 225/45/19 and 19x9.0 rear with 245/40/19. I am waiting for my hub centric rings and suspension before I install these. My stock tires are bald so I needed to replace them ASAP.

Let me know what you guys think! I'll post pics after installation.

dent is gonna get fixed next week with a full body paint...I cringe everytime I look at it
The rims will be temporary untill I fix everything else on the car...then hopefully I can pick up some Walds or something.

Thanks for the comments guys!

i hate how people get temporary g35 wheels then get something else later. They always end up not liking it and its a waste. Just save for something you like instead of being impatient and getting something bc it was cheap. Well too late for that

happened to two people i know and countless others on CL

just my opinion

Well my LS400 is my daily driver (aka "beater car") so I don't want to spend tons of money on it...got better things to do with the money. Just want to spruce it up a bit and restore her to get her shine back.

I somewhat agree about the infiniti rims being on a lexus...I too was hesitant on doing this but the more I looked at it, it seems like a ok idea - good quality rims, in my price range, temporary set since my tires are slick bald, and it's never been done before (not this 19" design) so I thought why the heck not. I can sell them later and break even with no problem

thanks for the comments and keep them coming.

Example: Dent Repair.

Get that fixed and it would look alright for on the cheap.

But personaly the standard wheels suit the car better and look better in general. Wish I was local Id buy them standards off you.

You like them and thats all that matters.

yeah that dent is gonna get fixed but will do a full body paint also to color match the bottom panels with the rest of the car. My dad has a body shop and I do auto wholesale on the side so body work and oem parts are not a problem for me.
Really? you like the 16 oem rims? they do look ok but I think they date the LS.

will it fit?:
maybe

what do you mean?:
the offsets and bolt pattern are fine, but the 2LS has huge brakes, so i would VERY STRONGLY advise you to test fit the front wheels first.

G37's have pretty large brakes so it should fit fine. Those tire sizes have tall sidewalls so it'll be out of spec. So your speedometer might be thrown off.

are they as WIDE as 2LS tho?

some supra TT fitment wheels have been known to need 3mm spacers to clear the wide aluminum LS calipers.

I saw a member's ride (chubby) who had the 18" G35 rims on his 95+ LS and it looked like it fit...I don't think he used spacers.

Found the pic:

G35/G37 rims were made to clear Brembo brakes, which are pretty large and comparable to LS's. But will do a test fit before I roll in these

chrispy - The front tires are slightly larger than I would like (45). I was hoping to have 40 all around for a balance between cushion and spec diameter but I guess this will do for now. Can't wait till I lower it and slap these on!
